Law Student Convention Scholarships

Applications for 2025 Annual Convention Scholarships have now closed.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½has partnered with the to help more law students attend Âé¶¹´«Ã½Conventions.

Open to all Âé¶¹´«Ã½Law Student Members, these scholarships discount convention registration and award a travel stipend to multiple recipients. Recipients will be responsible for paying a $35 convention registration fee, and they will receive the travel stipend directly from NPLA after they have attended Convention. Applications for the 2025 Annual Convention in San Francisco July 18-22 were due May 30.

Recipients must attend at least two of the convention events below in order to receive the travel stipend:

  • First-Time Attendee Info Session - Friday, July 18
  • Women Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC) Meeting - Saturday, July 19
  • Law Student Membership Meeting - Saturday, July 19
  • Minority Caucus Meeting - Saturday, July 19
  • First-Time Attendee Coffee Corner - Saturday, July 19
  • New Lawyers Division (NLD) Meeting - Sunday, July 20
  • LGBT Caucus Meeting - Monday, July 21
  • Law Schools Committee Meeting - Tuesday, July 22

 

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who best:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Âé¶¹´«Ã½and dedication to its mission to protect the Seventh Amendment right to trial by jury through involvement in Âé¶¹´«Ã½activities
  • Show interest in pursuing a career in plaintiff law through involvement in their school's NPLA
  • Express desire to represent those who have been injured by the negligence or misconduct of others
  • Exhibit interest and proficiency of skills in trial advocacy
  • Show financial need for the scholarship

To apply, you must be an Âé¶¹´«Ã½Law Student member (join here), be enrolled in an , and submit a complete application package.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
